Questions.
- What is component 11 in FiveM?
- Component 11 is tops (jbib): jackets, shirts and tops. Component 8 is the undershirt worn under it, and component 3 is the arms that have to match the top.
- What is the difference between a component and a prop?
- Components (0 to 11) are part of the ped's body mesh and are set with SetPedComponentVariation. Props (anchors 0 to 7) are separate models attached to a bone, such as hats and glasses, and are set with SetPedPropIndex and removed with ClearPedProp.
- Which prop anchors do the freemode peds use?
- Hats (0), glasses (1), ears (2), watches (6) and bracelets (7). Anchors 3, 4 and 5 exist in the game but the freemode peds ship no props on them.
- How do clothing file names map to components?
- Each addon drawable's file name carries the slot token: jbib_000_u.ydd is drawable 0 of tops, and its textures are jbib_diff_000_a_uni.ytd, jbib_diff_000_b_uni.ytd and so on. Props start with p_, such as p_head_000.ydd.
